SUVERAIA
The history of the company began in the immediate post-war period with the purchase of a small plot of land close to the South-West coast of Tuscany, where the grapes and olive growing tradition has its roots in the ancient Etruscan civilization. The perfect symbiosis between man and nature has designed over time a complex and fascinating landscape where farmhouses, olive groves and vineyards coexist perfectly with the wild Maremma scrub formed by cork oaks, holm oaks, junipers and myrtles.
The Camerini family’s innate passion for agriculture led them over the years to buy new land, the winery now consists in 5,5 ha of vines, where native varieties have been introduced; active in the conservation and recovery of biodiversity and traditional values.
In addition to Sangiovese, with rows over thirty years of age, have been identified and then planted cultivars such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is in the early nineties that we witness the real leap in quality: the new route enhances the wine experience gained with the adoption of new cultivation systems and modern production techniques, leading in a short time the company to achieve high quality standards.
The passion of the producer leads to a wider range of Sangiovese with a Rosè and an Ancestral Method.
True biodiversity has its maximum expression with the Nocchianello Spiga di Grano.
The vineyards are located in the Monteregio area of Massa Marittima, the DOC has been established recently and overlooks the Tuscan wine scene boasting already very important successes mainly due to the unique combination of aromas and flavors of a land with harmonious hills, rich soils, good exposition, blinking an eye to innovative perspectives.
